The Electric Vehicle Homecharge Scheme (EVHS) provides grant funding of up to 75% towards the cost of installing electric vehicle charge points at domestic properties across the UK.
The grant cap is now set at £350 (including VAT) per eligible vehicle. This has changed from £500 which was the maximum grant for installations completed before 1st April 2020.
Eligibility for the grant includes Individuals who …
- become registered keepers of new or second hand eligible electric vehicles
- are assigned an eligible company vehicle for at least 6 months
- use an eligible commercial fleet vehicle and are named as the primary user for at least 6 months
- order an electric vehicle and are in receipt of the vehicle
All of these clauses apply after 1st October 2016.
